Volunteering

"“Volunteering has helped me to give something back to the community as well as build meaningful relationships with people.”

Family Action Mansfield Children’s Centre has been awarded the Investing in Volunteers quality standard. Read more about this award.

Volunteers represent around one third of Family Action’s 1,100 strong workforce and are vital in enabling Family Action to support families in their communities. They are highly valued for their contribution to the organisation.

At Family Action we provide many exciting and varied volunteering opportunities within our services. These include practical roles, such as sharing cooking and gardening skills; or more personal roles such as mentoring, befriending, and counselling – to name just a few.  We also offer some volunteer roles at our Head Office in London, these can involve administration and fundraising.
