Barclaycard Horizons, a unique partnership with Family Action, Gingerbread and Citizens Advice won the Third Sector Excellence Awards in the Corporate Partnership category at the prestigious awards ceremony held on the 23rd September.
Judged by independent experts the Awards aim to reward examples of outstanding campaigns, strategies, projects and performance, backed up by hard evidence of success. This is the second consecutive year Family Action have been successful in receiving an award having received an award for Effectiveness in the 2009 Charity Awards.
The Horizons Programme, supported by Barclaycard, brings together three expert partners specifically to help one parent families; Family Action, Citizens Advice and Gingerbread. Working together these organisations help ‘build a brighter future for one parent families’ by giving support and advice on money matters, providing grants towards training and education costs and helping single parents to get back to work.
