Early Intervention Work - Building Bridges is Family Action’s professional, home-based family support service designed to meet the needs of families with multiple complex needs and make the families stronger, safer and more fulfilling for children and parents.

The families who Building Bridges works with might have problems including parental mental health, a young carer at home, difficulties in parenting, children with mental health or behavioural difficulties, relationship issues, safeguarding issues and financial and material hardship. Building Bridges works holistically in the family home with parents and children to develop an action plan to support the family and improve their situation.

Building Bridges Family Support Service is a cost-effective and multi-agency approach, adding value to adult and children’s services, health officials, education and social care. It has been validated by the Centre for Excellence in Outcomes.
