Responsibility
Family Action has an Equality and Diversity Steering group, which consists of Diversity Champions, to support and advise on best practice, whilst also leading on delivery of equality and diversity initiatives.
All services and staff have a responsibility to ensure equality and diversity is a consideration throughout recruitment, service development and service delivery. In addition to this, the Equality and Diversity Steering group, in collaboration with HR, coordinate and maintain the Investors in Diversity Action Plan, which defines how we will deliver our legal obligations and strategic objectives.
Dealing with discrimination and complaints
Family Action does not tolerate the bullying, harassment, victimisation or discrimination of any employee, volunteer or service user in any capacity. We take allegations of this nature very seriously, and implement robust and fair policies to support the investigation of any such allegations. We do this through utilisation of the Anti-bullying and Harassment Policy and the Complaints Policy.
