Family Action partners up with Barclaycard

Family Action and Barclaycard have today (20.05.2011) announced £150,000 in funding for educational grants, as part of the award winning Horizons programme, to help lone parents back to work.

The grants, which are open for applications from July, can cover the full funding needs of lone parents. This means grants are available for items such as course fees, childcare, books and transport.

Horizons Partnership Scoops Excellence Award

Horizons Your Education and Adult Learners Week 2010

Here are six stories from successful applicants to the Horizons Education Fund. Supported by Barclaycard, the Horizons Education Fund is delivered by Family Action and supports lone parents with the costs associated with career related education, including child care and travel costs. Over £1m of grants have already been distributed.
