  • On Sunday 21st August, join us in Charlton Park to celebrate Young Carers in Greenwich and take part in one of two running events!

    5K Fun Run

    Are you aged 16 or over? Join our 5K route around Charlton Park and help raise money for activities for Young Carers. Registration costs £5 and includes a Family Action t-shirt for you to run in!

    The day is about having lots of fun and raising money, so even if you’ve never done a run before but want to give it a go, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

    Junior Super Hero 1K Run

    WANTED!! Super heroes under the age of 18 to take part in our Junior Super Hero 1K Run. Get dressed up as your favourite hero to celebrate the everyday heroism of young carers in our community. There will be prizes for the fastest girl/ boy as well as best fancy dress. Registration costs £2.

    If you are interested in either race, please contact [email protected] to register. For insurance purposes, all runners MUST  register in advance.

    After the run, please join us for a picnic – bring your families too, everyone is welcome!


    As well as getting fit and having fun, the Greenwich Young Carers 5K Fun Run is all about raising money for activities for the brilliant Young Carers in the borough of Greenwich supported by Family Action.

    There are lots of ways you can help do this!

    Please ensure you have completed the Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire and seek any relevant medical advice before beginning your training. We advise you go on some training runs before the 5K. If you’d like help preparing for the run, why not join the Saturday Running Club with Scott at St Peters Boxing Club, Saint Thomas’ Church, Charlton, SE7 8EW.
