An unforgettable solo performer John Kirkpatrick, former member of Steeleye Span and a legend in Folk music has a treat for you! Staring in his very own Christmas concert, ‘John Kirkpatrick – Carolling & Crumpets show’ at Stamford Arts Centre, Peterborough on 14th December.
An exceptionally heart-warming and funny delight, with an informative edge – all in aid of Family Action’s, Peterborough services. With all of the proceeds going to our nearest services and centre.
Family Action and all of its services are committed to building stronger families, by delivering innovative, effective services and support; that reaches out to many of the UK’s most vulnerable people. Our Peterborough services work with families in poverty; facing disadvantage or social isolation, in particular. Some of their services include Family Health Champions, Helping Hands, Family Support and Victims of Crime. All of which rely on volunteer’s help, as well as, fundraising and donations to help provide their services to those who need it.
The different Peterborough services we have provide a range of services and support. For instance, the Family Health Champions service helps to support families in Peterborough, with children who have a diagnosis of ASD or ADHD. However, Helping Hands volunteers help support families, in Peterborough, who want extra support and advice with parenting. This is an additional service to our National Digital Parent Support Service which, provides a help line for parents all over the country. Meanwhile, Family Support (Peterborough) offers support and advice to families with specifically more complex needs. Lastly, there is the Victims of Crime service which, offers advice and support to families and young people who are victims of crime.

Virgin Experience Days, are committed to supporting charitable organisations in their desire to be engaged and responsible, corporate citizens. As part of their charitable support, they are likely, to kindly donate an Experience gift certificate up to the value of £50, to our cause. This will support our services, in Peterborough, to raise much the much needed funds, so they can continue their great work.
The aim of the ‘Carolling and Crumpets show’ is to raise funds which, will help to provide Christmas Hampers for local children and their families – who are in need. The fundraising, will also support family outings which will help to reduce isolation – the route of a variety of issues our services later face.
“I am so grateful for the help at this time of year. Hopefully I will be able to return the kindness we have received when we are in a better place to do so”. So many less fortunate families need your help and support, at this festive and often extra stressful time of year. It can honestly make the world of difference to so many.
