Statement in reaction to the death of Her Majesty The Queen
Family Action Chief Executive David Holmes CBE said everyone at Family Action has been deeply saddened by the news of the death of Her Majesty The Queen.
He added: “Her Majesty The Queen has been and will continue to be an inspiration to all for generations to come. Her selfless service to our country over so many decades has been truly remarkable.
“Here at Family Action, we were humbled to receive an incredible 66 years of support from Her Majesty as our much-loved Patron. We send our heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family and to the entire nation as we mourn her loss together.
“Throughout her lifetime, Her Majesty has championed community and civic issues and her patronages shone a light on the vital work carried out by charities. Family Action was one of the beneficiaries of this focus, and it has helped us to raise awareness of the work we do providing practical, emotional and financial support for vulnerable families.
“We are grateful that Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales has taken on the patronage of Family Action and we look forward to continuing to work with the Princess to honour and follow Her Majesty’s example of selfless public service.”
