Supporting children and young people through trusted friendships
Mentoring is a vital part of the support we provide to children, young people and families at Family Action. Volunteer mentors work in different ways with a number of our services however all are focused on building a positive, trusting and supportive relationship with a young person. Our longest running, flagship mentoring programme, established in 1977. Volunteers provide long term, mentoring support for a minimum of two years. The service provides mentors to children aged 5-18 and care leavers aged 18-25.
