What are RBKC Young Carer Personal Budgets?
Family Action can provide up to £150 for young carers to use on a physical activity outside of the home. Examples of activities we have funded for our young carers include ballet classes, swimming lessons, horse riding, and private football coaching, just to name a few. Personal Budget Referral Process
The referral process to our service is easy and straightforward – here is our referral form.
We know professionals are extremely busy. With a family’s consent, we can call the family directly to take self-referrals over the phone.
Identifying Young Carers
Young Carers are those under the age of 18 who provide care to another family who has a physical illness or disability, a mental health illness, sensory disability, learning difficulties or missuses alcohol or drugs.
