Early Years Childcare Services
Providing high quality Early Years’ provision in safe and stimulating environments.
‘Children make good progress in their learning and development as they engage in a broad range of activities, both in the setting and on frequent trips in the community, which excites and enthuses them’
Children’s early experiences have an important impact on health, behaviour and developmental outcomes.
In their first three years children develop physically, cognitively and emotionally at a faster rate than at any other time in their lives. High quality early education sits alongside health as an important determinant of children’s life chances.
Family Action’s Early Years Childcare Services support children as they develop physically and learn to speak and communicate, relate to others, play and explore their world.

Family Action’s Early Years Childcare Services provide high quality pre school provision for children between two and four years of age. Our child-centred approach promotes the development of creativity, individuality and self-confidence, whilst delivering the highest standards of pre school care.
All our settings serve diverse communities and our planning and delivery is focused on meeting the differing needs of these communities. Our aim is to ensure that each child is supported in achieving their best possible learning and development outcomes whilst enjoying their pre school experience.
We have a number of pre-schools in Peterborough, click here to find out more
Shared learning and regular training ensures the consistency of high quality teaching and outcomes.
The government is undertaking a review of the costs of providing childcare in England. They have issued a call for evidence as part of that review to inform its findings.
They require:
Nurseries, Primary Schools, Children Centres, Maintained nursery schools, Independent nursery schools, Childminders, Private/voluntary providers of day care, Childcare or early years organisations, Parents and carers, local authorities and representative bodies to help support the Department for Education by giving evidence.
You can find out more about the call for evidence by clicking here.
We aim to support all children in our care to achieve the best possible outcomes. We use a tracking system that allows us to look at individual children’s development when they start (starting point) and continue to review and monitor this termly and through observations and photographs.
Our services are regularly inspected by Ofsted and the latest reports can be found on the Ofsted website.
Our Ofsted reports available in the download section below.
